KING'S LYNN v LION CUBS, PREVIEW

LEICESTER Lion Cubs look to extend their strong start to the season when they make the trip to King’s Lynn on Wednesday (7.30pm).

The Lion Cubs have won both of their WSRA National Development League matches so far, and they have also raced to home and away victories over Buxton in challenge fixtures.

They head to Norfolk to face a Young Stars side who have suffered several issues in the early weeks with their star reserve, 15-year-old Ollie Binns, unfortunately sidelined with a broken wrist.

But they are led by two of the league’s top riders in Simon Lambert and Jake Mulford, and they also include former Lion Cubs rider Mickie Simpson.

Leicester manager Jen Crossland is able to name a full-strength line-up, with Max Perry back in the side after missing the recent win over Buxton due to his SGP2 commitments.

Perry rode for King’s Lynn in the National Development Trophy last year, whilst Seth Norman has recent experience of the Adrian Flux Arena after making a guest appearance for Oxford last week.

Meanwhile in-form Ryan Ingram enjoyed a breakthrough with his first NDL paid maximum against Buxton last time out, and he believes the Lion Cubs can continue their winning  run.

Ingram said: “I feel the whole team are riding well, I do enjoy it being with Leicester and I reckon we have a good chance of winning the league.”

KING’S LYNN: Simon Lambert, Harry Sadler, Kenzie Cossey, Jake Mulford, Mickie Simpson, Sam Woods, Dylan Huthwaite.

LEICESTER: Ben Morley, Tom Spencer, Max Perry, Ryan Ingram, Freddy Hodder, Eli Meadows, Seth Norman.

*LEICESTER’S scheduled NDL trip to Middlesbrough on Saturday has been postponed due to a clash with England’s football World Cup quarter final. A new date is to be arranged.
