LEICESTER’S Premiership clash with Ipswich scheduled for Thursday (June 11) has been postponed, and immediately re-arranged for Monday July 6.
The club have taken the decision due to an atrocious weather forecast for Thursday, with significant rainfall predicted for most of the day which will make racing impossible.
The Watling JCB Lions promotion have worked with their counterparts at Ipswich to be able to quickly secure a new date, with both teams available on July 6.
It means that week will see the Lions and the Witches meet home and away, as Leicester are already due to travel to Foxhall on Thursday July 9.
We would like to thank all parties for their co-operation and whilst it is always frustrating to have to postpone a meeting, we believe this is a sensible decision in view of the weather forecast.
The Lions are next in action at Belle Vue on Monday (June 15), and the next action at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park is the British Semi-Final on Sunday June 21 (3pm).
