LEICESTER Lion Cubs’ scheduled WSRA NDL match at King’s Lynn on Wednesday has been postponed.
The reason for the call-off is explained in the following statement from King’s Lynn:
KING’S Lynn regret to announce that Wednesday’s scheduled WSRA NDL fixture between the Young Stars and Leicester has been postponed.
This is due to the fact that sections of the Adrian Flux Arena speedway polyfoam safety fence are required at Northampton for their Premiership fixture on Thursday.
Many supporters will be aware that King’s Lynn have played a major role behind the scenes in getting Northampton up and running this season in terms of necessary track and electrical work.
Due to delays in delivery of the fence ordered by Northampton, the AFA fence was transported from King’s Lynn and used for the first two meetings at the Brafield venue.
Although progress has been made and Northampton are now much closer to having their full fence, sections are still required in order for them to fulfil this week’s fixture, which must take priority.
We apologise to supporters and riders for having to postpone Wednesday’s meeting, and a new date to host Leicester Lion Cubs will be announced as soon as possible.
