LEICESTER can confirm press and practice for their senior team ahead of the 2025 season will take place on Thursday March 20.
This is two days before Ryan Douglas stages his Testimonial Meeting, with the Watling JCB Lions then going into team action the following week in the KO Cup against Midlands rivals Birmingham.
The day will feature team events for the Lions riders before they return to the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park in late afternoon for photographs and media commitments, and then on track practice.
Supporters are welcome to attend and watch the Lions going through their paces, and the stadium will be open to the general public from 6.30pm with the riders expected on track shortly after. There is no charge for admission.
Press and practice will also see Lions boss Stewart Dickson reveal the team’s new riding order for the start of the season.
There will be a separate press and practice day for the Lion Cubs and Fox Cubs riders ahead of the NDL and NDT campaign.
This will take place at the Hydroscand Arena on Saturday April 12 with a midday start, and again supporters are welcome to attend.
Fixtures for NDL and NDT are currently being finalised but subject to any necessary alterations as the season goes on, the club can confirm meetings at this level will take place on Sundays with a 3pm start.
The British Youth Championship and Women’s British Open will be run on Saturday June 1, again at 3pm.
*A reminder that the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park will be open this Sunday (February 2) between 10am and 12.30pm for season ticket sales, supporters club memberships, back the Lion Cubs and Fox Cubs, and volunteer to help the club.
