HYDROSCAND ARE NEW STADIUM SPONSORS

LEICESTER Speedway are delighted to announce a two-year deal for stadium naming rights with leading hose, hydraulics and fluid transfer company Hydroscand.

The club’s Beaumont Park home will be known for the duration of the agreement as the Hydroscand Arena.

Hydroscand is an international family-owned business which was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1969.

The UK division has several branches, with their Midlands base in Nottingham, and they offer a complete range of quality hydraulic hoses and industrial hoses, hydraulic fittings and fluid transfer solutions.

They have recently acquired local company Leicester Hose and Hydraulics who are long-term backers of the club, and representatives including financial controller Nick Clowes attended the Lions’ dramatic play-off semi-final win over Ipswich last autumn, followed by the Grand Final against Belle Vue.

Clowes said: “Hydroscand are very proud to be supporting Leicester Lions Speedway and wish them continued success in their pursuit of the Premiership title.”

LHH founder and Managing Director Gary Brooks explained: “It’s coming up to a decade now that we’ve been sponsoring Leicester, and it was this time last year that I sold the business to Hydroscand.

“That makes LHH part of the Hydroscand group, and it’s great that we’ve been able to enhance our support for the club still further by bringing an even bigger name on board.

“I invited them along to the semi-final against Ipswich, which was such an incredible finish, and really they were hooked from that.

“We got Nick a pit walk beforehand and he was able to sit on the bikes, and he met (Lions captain) Max Fricke after the meeting, and it all made it a great night. 

“So that’s when we discussed the prospect of them taking it on with LHH’s sponsorship coming to an end, and then it became clear that the stadium sponsorship deal was coming up, and they were very interested.

“Essentially this means LHH have handed the reins to Hydroscand, but I want to stress that we’ll still be there at the speedway, myself and Tom and Rob (Sensicall) in the box and on the centre green.

“The sponsorship has been so beneficial for us, and with the photos and kevlars hanging up in the trade counter it’s a great talking point when people come in!

“I’m delighted to be able to hand it over in this way, with an enhanced arrangement. Hydroscand are one of the biggest hydraulic suppliers in the world as a group, they want to get their name out more in the UK, and it’s a great opportunity.”

Leicester co-promoter Jen Crossland said: “Leicester Hose and Hydraulics have grown with us over many years, and now it’s great to welcome Hydroscand as our stadium sponsors.

“It was brilliant to see how they enjoyed being with us at the end of last season, and we are delighted to have them on board for both 2025 and 2026.

“I’d like to particularly thank Gary for everything he’s done over the years and for helping us to facilitate this deal, and he’ll still be very much a part of the club on race-nights, under this bigger banner.”

The first meeting of 2025 at the Hydroscand Arena will be the Ryan Douglas Testimonial on Saturday March 22 (4pm).
