THE second leg of the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership Grand Final between Leicester and Belle Vue will now take place on Monday September 30 (7.30pm).
An early decision has been taken to move the fixture at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park, away from its initial date of this Thursday (September 26).
Following the extreme weather of recent days, more heavy rain is forecast for Wednesday evening into Thursday, which is set to be another unsettled day, and this will mean it is not possible to stage the meeting in the evening.
The decision has been taken now in order to minimise inconvenience and enable all parties to plan for the re-staging next Monday.
The Aces will go into the fixture with an 18-point advantage thanks to their 54-36 home win in the first leg in Manchester earlier this week, with the Watling JCB Lions needing a repeat of their 55-35 win the last time the sides met in Leicester in order to take the title.
