The Elliott sponsored Lions recovered from being 6 points down to win in convincing style by 51 points to 39 against the Sheffield Tigers at Beaumont Park last night.
The winning margin was Leicester's best result of the season and keeps them in the running for a play-off place and one point behind Premier League leaders Newcastle.
"In footballing terms we were caught flat footed early on and Sheffield fully deserved to be ahead. It took us all of eleven races before we nosed ahead for the first time but once there I thought we were stronger than the Tigers over the remaining heats and so it proved" commented Lions Co-promoter Alan Jones.
