The Leicester Lions team will be sporting a new logo on their race-jackets this season to replace the current design that has featured on the racing apparel since the club returned to the sport in 2011.
“The decision to make the transition goes beyond just the team as we are developing a range of products that requires a different shape of a Lions head to make the designs work. As a result this has driven us towards a new image and a change of design. We have an important initiative under wraps at the moment which will become apparent shortly and we felt now is the time to move away from our current logo and to introduce a new look which will complement the re-branding of Leicester Speedway” commented the Lions Promoter David Hemsley.
The Lions first meeting of the new season is against the Coventry Bees at the Beaumont Park Stadium on Saturday 16th March when both teams will be racing for the East Midlands Bowl trophy. The fixture will rekindle bygone days when the two clubs were arch rivals and meetings between the clubs were eagerly awaited by both sets of supporters.
