DOYLE CRASHES IN LANDSHUT

Jason Doyle was a casualty in last night’s Speedway Best Pairs meeting in Landshut, Germany.

The Lions number one was forced out of the meeting with a leg injury and mild concussion and taken to hospital.

Initial reports came through to Leicester that ‘Doyley’ had suffered a broken leg which thankfully was unfounded but the incident has still left Jason with a badly gashed leg which required stitches after stretching the skin over the wounded area.

He is due to fly back into the UK tomorrow and is planning to ride for Leicester in their next Elite League fixture at Swindon on 22 May.

“First and foremost Jason’s well-being is uppermost in our minds and whilst we want him back in the side as quickly as possible we will not put any pressure on him to return,” stated a relieved Norrie Allan.
