HUGE NIGHT FOR LIONS

LEICESTER'S top flight speedway team are ready to roar back into action at Beaumont Park tonight (7.30).

The Watling JCB Lions face Swindon Robins who include leading Grand Prix superstar Jason Doyle - a former Leicester man.

Boss Jim Lynch hands a debut to most of his side after a massive winter revamp at the club.

Swedish World Cup racer Kim Nilsson takes the No.1 spot and is excited at his move to the Premiership outfit.

He said: "It’s important to know I’ll be getting meetings in the UK, and Leicester seems like a really good club with the new management.

“It’s exciting to be part of things with them, and I really enjoy riding in the UK so I’m just glad I managed to get something sorted out.

"I’m excited to have this new challenge, and I think in a lot of ways it will be a good things for me.”

Leicester have also produced a new-look match programme which features an in-depth interview with Nilsson and lots more fascinating features plus the all-important racecard.
