FIXTURE UPDATE

Leicester's SGB Premiership fixture against King's Lynn which was scheduled to take place on Saturday 15th July at Beaumont Park will now be staged on Monday 24th July.

The alteration was necessary following the confirmation that the Watling JCB Lions will race at home against Swindon two days later in a televised BT Sport fixture.

"Since the dates and fixtures of the televised schedule were announced it has been a challenge to find another date where we can be certain of Leicester and King's Lynn being at full strength. Saturday's are really crowded and just when you think you have a solution there appears a reason as to why it is not possible. We are trying hard to avoid the use of guests wherever we can and Monday 24th July works for both clubs. Whilst we accept it is a work day, hopefully families will be encouraged to attend as the Leicestershire schools will have already broken up and we can all look forward to a warm summer evening of racing to watch this attractive fixture" explained the Lions Promoter Dave Darcy.

There is more Beaumont Park track action planned for Saturday 6th May when a Lions team will race against the Cradley Heathens for the Ivor Brown Trophy. Showman Danny Ayres and former Leicester rider Tom Perry will lead the visitors in what is sure to be an entertaining night of speedway. Prices have been set at £10 for all adults and children (10 to 17 inclusive) £5. This fixture does not form part of the season ticket offer.
