BELLE VUE V LIONS, PREVIEW

LEICESTER turn their attentions back to their league campaign when they travel to SGB Premiership leaders Belle Vue on Friday (7.30).

The Watling JCB Lions will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of their last gasp Knockout Cup heartache against Somerset last weekend.

Boss Jim Lynch acknowledges it is going to be a tough test for his side against the Aces, but has told his side to enjoy the meeting.

“We weren’t firing on all cylinders last weekend and while losing narrowly on aggregate was a hard one to take, we have to find the positives out of winning another meeting on our own track.

“Belle Vue have got off to a very good start this year and we know it’s going to be far from easy.

“But I’ll just be telling my riders to go out there and enjoy themselves – all they can do is give it their best!”

With Erik Riss representing Edinburgh in the SGB Championship, the lions have called on in-form Ipswich man Cameron Heeps for their trip to the National Speedway Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Aces will be operating rider replacement for Danish star Kenneth Bjerre who is competing in an SGP Qualifier event at Slangerup.

BELLE VUE: Max Fricke, Kenneth Bjerre R/R, Steve Worrall, Justin Sedgmen, Craig Cook, Dan Bewley, Jack Smith.

LEICESTER: Kim Nilsson, Josh Auty, Kacper Gomolski, Cameron Heeps, Danny King, Josh Bates, Danny Ayres.
