LIONS SIGN GARRITY

Leicester have signed the former British Under-19 Champion Jason Garrity who will make his debut in Monday’s Premiership fixture against Wolverhampton at Beaumont Park subject to BSPA approval.

Garrity will replace Kacper Gomolski in the side against the Wolves.

“Jason has always given full commitment to his racing and is an exciting rider to watch who never knows when he is beaten and races to the chequered flag. He is very familiar with all of the Premiership tracks and has two full seasons experience behind him with Coventry where he was a solid scorer.

“We have taken stock of recent results, particularly away from home and quite frankly we should have come out of these meetings with more than we did. We have promised so much and yet were left deflated. That is no reflection on Kacper Gomolski as a rider but we have to look at the bigger picture as a business and believe that overall Jason will bring something extra to the team in the areas of a meeting where we have trailed off. We wish Kacper all the very best in the future and welcome Jason Garrity to Leicester” said the Lions Promoter David Darcy.

Garrity, is no stranger to Leicester fans having spent a short time at the club in 2011 when still a teenager. He has had two recent successful seasons at Coventry where he rode in the same team as the current Lions Captain Danny King and Josh Bates.
