LEICESTER ace Danny King has revealed how private practice sessions for the Lions are helping the team.
The British Champion is spending more time at Beaumont Park, not just testing engines but also finding the quickest way round!
And ahead of Saturday’s mouthwatering Premiership clash with Belle Vue Aces, King says confidence is rising.
“We are very lucky that we can use the track at Leicester and get in some practice pretty much whenever we want to,” he added.
“I have taken advantage of that on more than one occasion now. It has really helped.
“Over the past three home meetings, there has been a real turnaround for me. I am getting used to the shape of the track and the way it rides in a proper way, confidence is a lot higher across the board and personally, I feel in a far more comfortable place.”
The revamped Beaumont Park track is winning praise from riders, officials and fans alike with last weekend’s thriller against Somerset regarded as one of the most entertaining meetings seen at the venue.
“I enjoy riding there now,” said King. “The rest of the boy are just getting used to it, we were always playing catch up after the team was signed so late in the off-season.
“Now we want the people of Leicester to come down on Saturday, get behind us and see if we can put one over one of the top teams in the country in Belle Vue.”
A FULL feature interview with King ahead of the British Final will appear in Saturday’s programme, £3 on arrival at Beaumont Park. Don’t miss it!
