LEICESTER bosses are feverishly working to track a team for Monday’s Beaumont Park clash with King’s Lynn.
The aftermath of the televised meeting with Swindon – which resulted in a heartbreaking last gasp defeat for the Watling JCB Lions – has resulted in a DOUBLE whammy of injury news.
Kim Nilsson has suffered a broken arm as a result of his Heat 15 crash and the club are awaiting a further update to establish how long he’s likely to be out.
New sensation Pawel Przedpelski had surgery in Poland on a broken fibula and early estimates are he could be back within three weeks.
On the positive side, Josh Bates has confirmed he will return for Monday alongside Kyle Newman but the club are looking to plug the gaps.
Leicester co-promoter Neil Machin said: “Naturally we wish all our injured boys all the very best.
“The crashes were dramatic and contributed to our narrow defeat but it was a tremendous effort on what, otherwise, was a good night for Leicester Speedway.”
