Watling JCB Sales Director Andy Raine gave the news to fans during Leicester’s televised match against the Sheffield Tigers on Monday that the company owners have agreed a new two year deal to continue their team sponsorship of the Lions.
Andy Raine said: “We have seen some great racing on the re-shaped Beaumont Park track and whilst this season has been a struggle for the club having to cover for so many injuries, nevertheless we have been impressed with how they have handled the situation and can see that their management team are fully committed to building a team that will compete for honours. We are excited at the thought of travelling on this journey with them and hopefully it will result in Leicester developing into one of the top sides in British Speedway.”
Watling JCB Limited, whose Head Office is in Whetstone, Leicestershire was formed in 1976 and has grown into one of the largest JCB sole franchises in the world.
“The continuation of our partnership is a massive boost for the club and their support underpins our plans and ambitions of taking the club forward. Our commitment is to help promote the Watling JCB brand wherever and whenever possible. It is a great product and we are proud to be associated with such a well-known company that has its roots in the County of Leicestershire” said Club Owner, Damien Bates.
