LEICESTER Speedway are finalising plans for a big launch to the new season.
Club bosses can now confirm the team, along with new boss Simon Stead, will meet sponsors and season ticket holders at 10.30am on Sunday March 25 before heading out onto the track for photographs and interviews with the media.
And the following night the Watling JCB Lions will open their home campaign with an opening night challenge against a team to be announced early this week.
As part of the season ticket offer the fans who purchased a season ticket will have priority access to the stadium to be introduced to the team and Stead.
Stead is also hosting his farewell meeting up at Sheffield at 4pm that day which means a hectic day with Leicester duo Martin Vaculik and Hans Andersen already confirmed for Owlerton.
He said: “It’s going to be a big day and I’m looking forward to starting it all with press and practice at Leicester.
“It will be great to get the lads together for the first time and put them through their paces before heading up to Sheffield for my farewell meeting.
“I look forward to meeting all the Leicester fans on that day, it should be great.”

10.00am - Team arrival at Leicester Stadium
10.30am - 11.00am - Riders meet the sponsors and season ticket holders
11.15am - onwards - Gates open for fans to enter stadium
11.30am - onwards Press photographs/interviews and practice laps
