LEICESTER boss Simon Stead has a clear message for his side ahead of tonight’s clash with Rye House at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena, Beaumont Park (7.30).
Stead, who saw his side slip to an agonising last gasp defeat at the hands of champions Swindon last Monday, is refusing to underestimate Rye House – despite heavy defeats on the road so far this season.
The Rockets include legendary British duo Scott Nicholls and Chris Harris, both former favourites at Coventry in the Brandon era.
And Watling JCB Lions boss Stead said: “One thing I'll be saying to the boys in our pre-meeting team talk tonight is don't underestimate Rye House and don't be fooled by their results so far.
“Yes they may have suffered two really heavy defeats at Wolverhampton and Belle Vue, but they've got a solid side full of experience and if they all click on the same night, then they could give anyone a real fright.
“Having said that, the lads are focussed on putting last week firmly behind them by registering a big win here tonight.
“But to do that we're going to have to be sharp out of the tapes, make a good start to the meeting and maintain a consistent level throughout.”
