STEWART Dickson says Newcastle will be a danger when they visit Leicester on Saturday (7.30).
Watling JCB Lions boss Dickson is thrilled with his team after three straight wins for the first time in their history last weekend – but he insists there will be no complacency when the Diamonds arrive in Championship action.
They include GB star Steve Worrall, brother of Leicester’s Richie, and former Lions riders Lasse Bjerre, Simon Lambert and Max Clegg.
Said Dickson: “They will cause us problems and I’m expecting a tough match.
“It should be entertaining for the fans who are quite rightly enjoying their racing right now because we have given them a winning team.
“It’s great to have gone on a winning run and the win at Sheffield was a bit special, but we have to put that to the back of our minds now and focus on Newcastle.
“The team have done a great job so far but there will be no complacency. I won’t allow that from my team.
“Steve Worrall is one of the top stars in this league and Max Clegg has been winning races from reserve.”
Dickson has brought in Georgie Wood as a replacement for Jack Thomas who is racing in the British Under 21 Final at Berwick.
Once again all under 16s will be admitted free and club chiefs are hoping to see another big turnout at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena, Beaumont Park.
