LEICESTER are up for the cup tonight with a rare Friday night home meeting against Eastbourne.
And Watling JCB Lions co-promoter Neil Machin has urged the public to get behind the team for what he describes as ‘almost mission impossible’.
Eastbourne hold a 57-33 advantage against an injury-hit Leicester side who have booked 2007 British Grand Prix winner Chris Harris to cover for broken ankle victim Richie Worrall.
Machin said: “It’s up to the fans to come and show the team their support tonight. It’s almost mission impossible but you never know in this sport.
“If we can get off to a good start anything can happen!
“Stewart Dickson will have the boys ready to go for it - we’ve got nothing to lose and I’m looking forward to a good meeting.”
Tonight sees the start of a busy month of July at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena, which is at Beaumont Park Sports Complex.
The action starts at 7.30 and children go free.
