LEICESTER bowed out of the National League Fours in the semi-final stages at Stoke.
It was a big ask for the Roger Webster Lions who were missing some of their key heat leaders for the event.
They managed five third places in eight races, but ended their night on a high when teenager Dan Thompson got the better of home man Connor Coles - who would eventually be the last heat hero as the hosts claimed the silverware.
