LEICESTER boss Stewart Dickson has sung the praises of his star guests who have deputised in the absence of Richie Worrall.
Worrall, who is out with a ankle injury but is making good progress and has his sights set on a comeback, has been covered by the likes of Rory Schlein, Chris Harris – and on Wednesday in the home win over Edinburgh Richard Lawson.
Now the Watling JCB Lions have turned to Berwick legend Kevin Doolan to replace Josh Bates in Friday’s trip to Scunthorpe and Worrall’s four rides will be covered by rider replacement.
Said Dickson: “It’s never easy using guests all the time but I cannot thank the guys enough for what they have done for me.
“Richard Lawson was excellent on Wednesday and we’ve never been let down.
“I’m encouraged by the noises Richie is making about coming back in the not too distant future but obviously we need to look at the Josh Bates situation after his neck operation.
“Scunthorpe will be tough but if we can go there and have a positive attitude who knows what can be achieved. We’ll do our very best to at least bring a point back from there.”
