LEICESTER’S youngsters head to Belle Vue to face a powerhouse Colts side in Manchester on Thursday (7.30).
And they’ll have to do it without injured duo Luke Ruddick and Joe Thompson, Ellis Perks who is on Premiership duty at Swindon and Ryan MacDonald who has work commitments.
Former Belle Vue man Joe Lawlor – now with Stoke – has agreed to deputise for the Roger Webster Lion Cubs along with Josh Embleton and Anders Rowe.
Leicester co-promoter Neil Machin said: “We know what a strong side Belle Vue are on their own track and we also know only too well we have a patched up side.
“However, we will go there with a positive attitude and try and pull some sort of result out of the bag.
“We are extremely proud to have a National League side this season and to see the progress of the youngsters, the future of our sport, is very encouraging.
“We have some exciting racing to come at National League level and we need to get behind these boys.”
