CUBS AIMING FOR TOP SPOT

FIRST team boss Stewart Dickson is calling on Leicester fans to back their Lion Cubs side to finish top of the National League table.

They’re back in action at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena (Beaumont Park) on Tuesday against Cradley Heathens – another meeting they are expected to win.

And Dickson says the Roger Webster Lion Cubs are great to watch and deserve the backing of fans with no senior action until Sunday week in the Championship Shield Final.

“These boys are the future of the club and the sport in general,” said Dickson. “I’d urge supporters to come along on Tuesday and see some good racing.

“We need to see plenty of support for the boys because if they can finish top of the table it would be a massive achievement going into the play-offs.”

Stoke’s Luke Priest comes in for Dan Thompson as a guest replacement with the teenage starlet out with a fractured wrist.

Cradley are without 15-year-old reserve Harry McGurk who is back at school and cannot make the start time and Tom Spencer is out through concussion.

Leicester have meetings in hand on Belle Vue Colts and are back at home against the Mildenhall on Saturday.

Admission is £12 adults, £10 concessions and children go free.

LEICESTER: Ellis Perks, Luke Ruddick R/R, Joe Thompson, Luke Priest, Danyon Hume, Josh Embleton, Ryan Terry-Daley.

CRADLEY: Max Clegg, Luke Harris, Tom Spencer R/R, Jack Smith, Danny Halsey, TBC, Sheldon Davies.
