STAR reserve Connor Mountain has paid tribute to Leicester’s fans ahead of this weekend’s Championship Shield Final.
Watling JCB Lions face Eastbourne in their first national final for 44 years with the home Leg at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena (Beaumont Park) on Sunday (5pm).
They head to Sussex for the first leg on Saturday with plenty of Leicester fans set to make the trip.
Mountain has done a fine job for the team this season and, like everyone else at the club, is desperate to see them win a Shield and league double.
“The Leicester fans will be out in force in both legs as they have been for all of our matches this season and their support really does make a difference.
“The promotion like us to interact with the fans at meetings and I believe they give us plenty back.
“The crowds have been good here for home meetings and I’m sure they will be on Sunday.”
Edinburgh’s Josh Pickering comes in for the injured Richie Worrall in both legs.
Fans travelling to support the team at Eastbourne on Saturday can enjoy discounted admission of £10 on production of either a 2019 Season Ticket or a current Leicester Speedway Supporters Club membership card.
Proof of identity is required at the turnstile and entrance to the Stadium is via the 'Disabled Entrance.'
