LEICESTER’S Championship play-off semi-final with Redcar on Saturday has been brought forward to 6.30 – to beat the weather!
Rain is forecast to arrive in the city later on Saturday evening and the club have moved quickly to make an earlier start after studying several forecasts.
The Watling JCB Lions are looking to take a handy lead to the second leg on Teesside next Friday, October 4.
Boss Stewart Dickson said: “This is a decision we have taken to ensure we get 15 heats completed.
“We realise it’s short notice and far from ideal but we need everyone to spread the word, so I’d urge everyone to tell family and friends about the new start time.
“This is a huge night for Leicester Speedway and we need the fans – we just hope through the media and social media we get the message to everyone that the start is an hour earlier.”
