PREVIEW: SCUNTHORPE V LION CUBS

LEICESTER compete in the first team event anywhere in the UK in 2020 when they race at Scunthorpe on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm).

All of the regular Roger Webster Lion Cubs are involved, including skipper Danyon Hume, the Thompson twins, and Joe Lawlor, who helped the senior side to last year’s league title.

The team is supplemented by another 2019 Lion, Connor Mountain, who will line up at No.1 in a meeting run at grassroots level in front of a crowd at the Eddie Wright Raceway.

Scunthorpe include Championship regular Simon Lambert, veteran Wayne Carter and reigning British Youth champion Jordan Palin.

Both sides also track two 250cc riders for a series of four races which will count towards the overall scores – and some fierce battles between Leicester mascot Max James and Scunthorpe’s Luke Harrison are expected.

SCUNTHORPE: Simon Lambert, Jordan Palin, Jamie Halder, Wayne Carter, Ryan Kinsley, Harry McGurk, Archie Freeman, Luke Harrison, William Hocainuk (if fit).
LEICESTER: Connor Mountain, Joe Thompson, Joe Lawlor, Dan Thompson, Danyon Hume, Kean Dicken/James Chattin, Tom Spencer, Max James, Ashton Vale.
