LEICESTER youngster Ben Trigger is looking to strengthen his bid to become British Youth Champion on home shale on Monday (4pm).
The club are hosting the fifth round of the British Youth Championship with Trigger, a member of Leicester’s National Development League side, aiming to follow in the footsteps of team mate Dan Thompson to take gold.
And in the 250cc category Max James, who regularly does laps at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena, leads the way.
The action starts at 4pm and a busy schedule of racing and admission is just £10 for adults, children go free and the programme is only £1.50.
Dave Howard, team manager of the Roger Webster Lion Cubs side, said: “Everyone who has been here for the Lion Cubs meetings and those who have also followed us on the road, will have seen the great progress Ben has made in each National League meeting he has ridden in, building his confidence and speed in every meeting.
“Ben’s great bike control, together with his ever-growing confidence challenging himself against more established riders, points scoring and ever bubbly personality make him a joy to have as part of the Lion Cubs Team.”
Club co-owner Damien Bates said: “People are always looking for things to do on a Bank Holiday Monday so anyone in the Leicester area who fancies some live motorsport with some talented youngsters showing their skills should consider this event.
“For just £10 it represents a great day out and we look forward to welcoming fans to the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena at Beaumont Park.”
