LEICESTER RACING TOWARDS 2022!

LEICESTER’S speedway team are already gearing up for next spring with great news of a new two year team sponsorship deal.

Watling JCB will remain on board with the Beaumont Park club for the next two seasons after the club successfully carried the brand identity into the Championship play-offs.

Andy Raine of Watling JCB was on hand at Grace Road, home of Leicestershire County Cricket Club, to reveal the news with co-owner Marc Bates and co-promoter Stewart Dickson at the club’s awards night.

Said Bates: “We cannot thank Andy and all at Watling JCB enough for their support.

“Sponsorship is such a vital part of professional sport and we value their backing of Leicester Speedway. We always try to carry their identity in a professional manner and it’s great to have them on board for 2022 and 2023.”

The event, hosted by Leicester’s Supporters Club, was a big success with several awards handed out.

Nick Morris won the Supporters Club award for rider of the year while skipper Kyle Howarth was boss Stewart Dickson’s rider of the year.

The Cubs rider of the year was Dan Thompson with boss Dave Howard naming Tom Spencer for his award.

The most improved Cubs rider was Ben Trigger and Joe Thompson won the Tim Grant Memorial Trophy for most Watling JCB Lions bonus points in league meetings.
