LEICESTER have chosen to face Edinburgh in the Championship play-off semi-finals.
The first leg of the tie will take place at Armadale next Friday (September 23) with the return at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena on Saturday September 24 (7pm).
The Monarchs booked their place in the last four with a 95-85 aggregate victory over Redcar this weekend.
The other quarter-final is still to be concluded, but with Poole travelling to Plymouth on Tuesday holding a 60-30 advantage over Plymouth, the Pirates are heavily odds-on to book a semi-final clash with Glasgow.
Lions boss Stewart Dickson said: “Edinburgh did very well over the two meetings against Redcar and we’ve seen the form of Sam Masters.
“There’s not an easy pick, but I do think with the form Poole are on at the moment, Edinburgh might look to be the easier one.
“But come next Friday and Saturday, Edinburgh will be out to prove a point because we’ve picked them – that’s the problem sometimes when you finish top, but you’ve got to pick somebody!
“It will be what it will be, we know it’s going to be two tough matches, but we’re looking forward to them.”
