LEICESTER skipper Kyle Howarth has been ruled out of tonight’s Championship Grand Final against Poole (7pm).
Howarth is suffering with flu-like symptoms and whilst the exact illness is not yet known, he will be unable to ride.
Former Lions captain Scott Nicholls will come in to guest, with Nick Morris taking over as captain on the night.
Team boss Stewart Dickson said: “Kyle woke up this morning feeling unwell and he’s in no condition to ride tonight.
“It’s a great shame for him and with him being missing due to illness, it means his Grand Final is over.
“We’d like to thank Scott for stepping in at short notice, we all know what he’s done for us in the past and hopefully he’ll have a good night.”
