LEICESTER heat-leader Richard Lawson has been ruled out of Thursday’s Sports Insure Premiership trip to Ipswich.
Lawson thankfully escaped without any broken bones in an horrific crash during Heat 15 of the Watling JCB Lions’ home win over Sheffield on Monday, when he tangled with the Tigers’ Polish star Tobiasz Musielak.
He visited hospital for checks and will be kept in for two days in order to monitor a lung injury, although the initial diagnosis is that no surgery will be required.
We all wish Richard well for a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back with the team soon.
