ASHTON Boughen finished just off the rostrum in Sunday's National Development League Riders' Championship at Workington.
Boughen scored 11 points including three wins, but a last place in Heat 16 meant he ended up fourth, just one point short of Max Clegg and Jacob Hook.
Connor Bailey won the meeting with a 15-point maximum whilst Clegg beat Hook in a run-off for second place.
The Lion Cubs' other representative Max Perry scored six points, winning his opening ride in Heat 2 but then experiencing mixed fortunes for the remainder of the afternoon.
