LEICESTER Speedway would like to introduce supporters to our new team’s identity – it’s a warm welcome to the Fox Cubs!
The club’s inclusion in the National Development Trophy this season, which is a parallel competition to the National Development League where the Lion Cubs already compete, means a new name and new logo.
The NDT team will be known as the Leicester Fox Cubs, whilst at the same time the club have also taken the opportunity to refresh the Leicester Lion Cubs brand.
The NDL team now have their own logo too, having previously taken that of the senior Lions side, and it means our two teams at this level have their own distinct identities.
And as in previous seasons, supporters have the opportunity to put their personalised backing on display throughout the year.
Due to the fact that we are running two NDL-level teams, involving 13 different riders, the decision has taken not to proceed with full team kevlars in 2025.
However, there will of course be separate Lion Cubs and Fox Cubs race-jackets, and just as with the kevlars, we have space for supporters to add their names, with the chance of winning a signed race-jacket at the end of the season.
For just £30, you can get your name on ALL 14 race-jackets (Lion Cubs and Fox Cubs), and those names will then be put into a draw where 14 people will each win one signed race-jacket once racing has ended for the year.
The names will also appear in the Lion Cubs and Fox Cubs programmes throughout 2025.
