LION Cubs racer Vinnie Foord has suffered a fractured wrist and is awaiting news over how long he will be out of action.
Foord came to grief spectacularly in his final ride during Wednesday's NDL Individual event at Poole although he was able to walk away from the incident.
He is now booked for a further appointment on July 3 to determine whether he requires surgery.
The Lion Cubs have a six week break prior to the resumption of their NDL campaign at Middlesbrough on August 9.
But the injury is still a big setback for Foord, whose excellent form had been rewarded by a team place with Poole in the Cab Direct Championship.
