Arriva Midlands have teamed up with the Lions to help promote speedway in Leicester.
A number of single deck buses operating on their extensive network of local bus services in and around the city and the county are now carrying striking external advertising panels along with a large number of their double deck fleet that are displaying equally striking internal adverts.
Steve Smith, Area Business Manager for Leicestershire said: “Speedway, which takes place every Saturday night at Beaumont Park from March to October is a fantastic spectator sport for the whole family and Arriva Midlands are proud to be associated with the Lions.
“We have worked closely with David Hemsley, joint promoter of Leicester Lions and his team to deliver a robust advertising campaign to promote speedway to a much wider audience throughout the county and we concluded that bus advertising was a really good way of doing it.”
Steve added; “We’re now looking to the future and next season and we have one or two more ideas that we are currently discussing with David.”
“Over the last few months we have more than doubled our efforts to promote the family day out concept that people experience when they come to watch a speedway meeting at Beaumont Park. I believe that the partnership with Arriva Midlands will lift the awareness factor to a new level” commented the Lions Promoter David Hemsley.
