Friday 15th March has been set for Leicester’s press, practice and preview day at Beaumont Park when the team will be together for the first time.
“Ideally the event should be staged at a weekend to allow fans the opportunity to attend if they so wish but we have taken into consideration the fact that three of the team live outside of the UK and to fly in for a few practice laps and then return home proves to be an expensive visit. We were mindful of this and therefore have decided to hold the event on the day before we open against Coventry” explained the Lions co-promoter Alan Jones.
The day starts at 1.00pm when the stadium gates will be open for people to come in and watch until 4.00pm when the session is due to finish. For people who cannot make the event due to work commitments there will be an opportunity for fans to meet the team during a Q and A forum which will be held in the Stadium bar that day from 5.00pm onwards. With David, Alan and Glyn also in attendance it is an ideal time to catch up on the latest news.
