With the forthcoming Leicester v Eastbourne Elite League fixture scheduled for live coverage on a Sky Sports channel, the club is pleased to announce a reduction in admission prices for this meeting which will take place on Monday 14th July with a start-time of 7.30 pm.
It is the first time in any era of the sport that a speedway meeting in Leicester has been transmitted live and to celebrate this historic unique occasion fans are being offered a chance to watch the meeting at a much lower ticket price. There will be an across the board flat-rate price for all adults as club owner and promoter David Hemsley explains: “I have set a price of £10 for adults and concessions with children aged 10 and under sixteen remaining at £5 and a family ticket for two adults and two children priced at a lower figure of £20. The pricing structure represents fantastic value for our regular supporters and hopefully it will encourage people to come along to the Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium who perhaps have never seen a live speedway meeting before. To ensure that our season ticket holders receive a similar benefit they will be entitled to two free programmes either on the night or at meetings of their choice between now and the end of the season by presenting their season ticket at the programme sales kiosk inside the stadium.”
The last meeting at Leicester between the two teams ended with the Rapid Solicitors Lions winning 49-41 after a last heat decider. “I anticipate another close match against the Eagles who are in contention for a play-off place and with our three new signings adding zest to the occasion it all adds up to a night of tension in front of the TV cameras. I hope that people will take advantage of the lower admission prices to come along to cheer on the Lions and make this a night to remember for Leicester, Eastbourne and the Sky Sports production team” added Hemsley.
