Leicester travel to Manchester today seeking their first win on the road in the Elite League but it will be the Lions last chance as the meeting against the Belle Vue Aces signals the completion of their away fixtures this season.
Both teams are vying with one another to avoid the basement position in the league table with the Aces below Leicester, three points behind and as many matches in hand.
“We have picked up a bonus match point on three occasions so far this season at Coventry, King’s Lynn and Swindon but have never actually won a match outright and it would be nice to sign-off our first year in the top flight with a win” explained the Lions Team Manager Norrie Allan.
The Rapid Solicitors Lions make two changes to the team that lost against Swindon on Saturday night with Sam Masters coming in to replace Danny King and Rohan Tungate replaces Mads Korneliussen.
Whilst the senior team are heading north, the Lion Cubs will be making their way to Sittingbourne to race their final National Trophy meeting against the Kent Kings. The Cubs are still in the running for a place in the final but need to beat Kent by a winning margin of twenty-two points to go through.
