Arising from last Friday’s workshop when officials met with representatives of the UK Visa and Immigration, clubs were given permission to re-apply for their sponsors licences and the news was welcomed by the Lions Promoter David Hemsley.
“It was a relief for everyone connected with British Speedway to be given the all-clear to re-apply and I can confirm that our documentation has already been submitted to ensure that there is no delay from our end as we want to receive clearance as soon as possible in order that Jason Doyle can then complete his application for a visa. It is a step forward for clubs affected in what has been a particularly difficult few weeks but working closely with the UKVI I am cautiously optimistic that there will be a positive outcome” stated Hemsley.
