LEICESTER star Grzegorz Walasek has undergone surgery in Manchester on the left hand he damaged in a fall at Belle Vue on Monday.
The Lions rider had two rods inserted into his thumb and treatment to his little finger, and now returns home to Poland to recuperate.
Promoter David Hemsley has confirmed Walasek is in positive spirits and is looking forward to returning to the club as soon as he is able to.
