WATT A MOVE FOR LIONS

LEICESTER have moved for experienced Australian Davey Watt as a replacement for the injured Sebastian Ulamek.

Watt, recently released by Poole, is set to make his Lions debut at Wolverhampton next Monday subject to BSPA approval, after Ulamek missed this week’s home draw against the Pirates.

Manager Norrie Allan said: “Opportunities to sign riders of Davey’s quality and leadership rarely become available once racing starts, and whilst he has had an indifferent start to this season with Poole I believe that he will find his scoring touch again at Leicester.

“It is unfortunate that Sebastian has picked up an injury which has ruled him out for the foreseeable future and we wish him well. We want to avoid having to rely on guests and rider replacement is not an option in my opinion as the team is not set up to operate effectively to cover for Sebastian’s absence.”
