PRAISE FOR POPULAR POLE

POPULAR Polish racer Krystian Pieszczek has been singled out for praise from Leicester bosses after an impressive start to his British career.

Pieszczek has been a shining light in an otherwise injury-hit start to the season for the Watling JCB Lions.

And club co-owner Damien Bates said: “I can’t speak highly enough of Krystian and the way he as gone about his business.

“It’s not my style to single out riders, but this lad as come in from Poland and settled into British racing straight away.

“He’s a class act and we’re delighted with him. He’s very professional in the way he goes about his racing and his scores underline what a good rider he is.”

Meanwhile Leicester have two riders in tonight’s Premiership Riders’ Championship at Poole with Hans Andersen and Kyle Newman doing battle alongside two riders from all other top flight clubs.

And the next action at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena (Beaumont Park) is the British Semi-Final next Tuesday, May 15 (7.30). The top eight riders progress into the final at Belle Vue next month.
