GREAT Britain international Craig Cook has been given the green light to continue racing – and that means he will be at Leicester on Saturday night.
Cook was suspended for 12 days over an incident at Eastbourne but he has appealed against the decision and will now face a hearing with the Speedway Control Bureau.
A mass brawl broke out at Arlington with punches thrown by different people and both Claus Vissing and Edward Kennett were also banned.
Vissing’s appeal has been rejected so he will miss the weekend – but Cook has presented new findings to the SCB which they are happy to look into.
Watling JCB Lions co-promoter Neil Machin said: “This will add spice to what is a massive night of speedway, we’ve got the pantomime villain, the bad boy, Craig Cook coming to town.
“I expect it to be a great night of racing with two meetings in a double header for fans to enjoy.
“It could be the biggest meeting of the season against Glasgow and I’m sure we will see a big crowd.
“We also welcome Cradley Heath, one of the biggest historical names in the sport, for a National League fixture.”
Leicester v Glasgow starts at 6.30pm and the Cradley meeting will follow. Admission is £20 adults, £17 concessions and children go free.
