LEICESTER can now confirm the home leg of their Championship play-off with Scunthorpe will take place on Saturday (7pm).

And in a token of appreciation, season tickets will be valid for the showdown which now means three massive meetings in four days for the Watling JCB Lions.

They head to Poole on Wednesday defending an eight point lead in their cup tie before going to Scunthorpe for the first leg of their play-off on Friday.

Leicester boss Stewart Dickson said: “It’s make or break time for our season over the next week and we will need the backing of our brilliant fans.

“If things go well we can have a minimum of four more meetings or, if thing go against us it could be season over after Saturday. We are treading a thin line here and we need to be ready for it.

“Our owners want to show their appreciation to season ticket holders for their loyalty to the club and have included season tickets in Saturday’s meeting.

“We had a double header on Saturday but the fans still turned out in their numbers and they make a big difference to us.

“We look forward to welcoming all our supporters and let’s hope we can keep it close on Friday before bringing Scunthorpe back to our place.”
