LEICESTER boss Stewart Dickson is continuing to predict a bright future for fans' favourite Ellis Perks.

The 23-year-old made an instant impact during his debut season with the Watling JCB Lions last year and played a pivotal role in their league title success.

And Dickson only expects to see Perks kick on even further from what was something of a breakthrough year.

"Ellis made huge strides in 2019 and I don't see any reason why he can't do the same again this year," Dickson says.

He was awesome around our home track and I fully believe he can push for a heat-leader berth in 2020.

"As far as I'm concerned, he's only going in one direction - and that's up!"

Dickson and Perks have provided exclusive interviews in the latest issue of the Watling JCB Lions' season delay magazine.

It also features an up to date column with winter signing Nick Morris while 'Retro Rewind' heads back to May 1977 and looks at the performances of Ila Teromaa, Pepe Teromaa and Marrku Helminen to name just a few.

There are also columns with Speedway writers Joe Appleton and Ryan Guest as well as TV and radio broadcaster Nigel Pearson.
